IN FEBRUARY OF 2026 OUR FAMILY WILL BEGIN A NEW JOURNEY, STEPPING OUT IN FAITH INTO FULL-TIME MISSIONS.
THROUGH MUCH PRAYER, WE HAVE FELT THE CALL TO ENTER INTO A SEASON OF EQUIPPING AND TRAINING - AS A FAMILY - IN GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN.
WE WILL BE TAKING PART IN THE "EVERYHEART SCHOOL", A YWAM DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL (DTS) THAT EXISTS TO GIVE YOUNG PEOPLE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW JESUS, AND EQUIP THEM WITH PRACTICAL TOOLS TO MAKE HIM KNOWN NEAR AND FAR.
We long to see a generation encounter the transformative love & freedom found in Jesus.

-- Pray for our hearts to be prepared for what Jesus wants to do in us during our season of training
-- Pray for us as we help our three kids adjust to a "new normal" moving forward (spiritually, emotionally, physically)
-- Pray for the hearts of the people we will encounter - that God would begin the foundational work for His love and truth to land on fertile ground
-- Pray that we would have clarity and a clear path regarding the logistics of making our move from Fort Wayne to Grand Rapids (timing, sale of our home, new housing in Michigan, etc.)
-- And finally, pray that God would bring up a team of financial partners who see a vision for this kind of work in God's Kingdom

WHAT WILL MINISTRY LOOK LIKE?
We will go through the EveryHeart School, a 6 month discipleship training school centered around knowing God and making Him known.
This important first step will allow us to become well acquainted with the vision and various ministries of this particular YWAM base as well as unite us (Josiah and Rachel) as we grow in our walks with Jesus and pursue vision for our family as we serve in missions.
Josiah has not attended a YWAM DTS, and though Rachel technically has, we believe it is important for us to undergo the deep heart work and training of DTS together as a married couple and family to be able to move forward in unity.
The EveryHeart School is structured in two parts:
--Three months of lecture style training and application locally in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
--Three months of outreach in various cities across the U.S. to reach the lost and equip the local church + followers of Jesus to go out with the message of the Gospel.
Step One
We intend to continue to serve long-term on staff with the EveryHeart Movement and its various ministries.
Though we desire to fill a role on staff that has need and that we feel God is calling us to following our season of training, EveryHeart has numerous legs of ministry including the following:
- College Campus Ministry
- Worship Ministry
- Local gatherings and teachings for training and encouraging Believers
- Evangelism tours with young adults
- Future Discipleship Training Schools
- Prayer room ministry
